A case of Warts and Emotional Sensitiity in a Teen

A teenage girl who had always been happy, confident and socially well-adjusted suddenly began experiencing changes that seemed quite out of character.  She had developed several warts on the soles of her feet. Around the same period, her emotional well-being began to change. She became unusually sensitive, easily hurt by comments from others, and increasingly involved in arguments and misunderstandings with friends and peers. 

Situations that previously would not have bothered her now affected her deeply. She seemed more vulnerable to criticism, and friendships that had once been easy became a source of frustration and emotional upset.
